Greetings and thanks
for visiting my website. My goal here is to share information with
like-minded people that is informative and inspiring. Hopefully it will
motivate you to go do something, be it climbing or writing a letter.
For current info on where I am and what I am doing, read my blog entries at

The rawness of being in the wild places
of our planet feeds my soul. The high mountains, the arid desert, the
lush jungle, or the sweeping savannahs, locations that have had minimal
human impact are my favorite places on earth. Free from the
contrivances of modern civilization, I see the world as it might have
been thousands of years ago.
To take in the vistas, experience a
deluge of rain and cook a simple meal with a friend makes the
experience that much richer. Sharing the risk, work and hardship that
mountain craft requires creates trust and understanding with your
teammate.
Alpinists are modern day hunters, our
quarry being the tall peaks and steep cliffs. Our humility comes from
the knowledge that the peaks are always stronger. We are merely guests.
When I return after a long journey the simple things in life, like water from a tap and a warm bed, seem so much finer.
be good, be kind, be happy.
